How many glasses of Friso Gold® 3 should my child drink every day?
The recommended intake is 2-3 glasses per day.
How to help your child adapt to new taste?
The absence of sucrose and vanilla flavor in our Friso growing up formula makes the taste more natural and light and helps to get your child acquainted to less sweet taste and still providing high quality nutrition for your child.
As taste is something acquired, it requires transition period for your child to gradually adjust. Here are some tips to help you child adjust with new taste:
- Allow ample time for your baby to develop a lessened preference for sweetness. It’s recommended for mums to plan for an adaptation period of at least 7 days.
- Mums should stand firm and gradually guide the child to adapt to a lighter-tasting infant formula without sucrose and vanilla flavouring. Do not give your child too many choices.
- Mums can give a small amount of snacks (such as cereals, oats, etc.) to their child, along with the new formula milk to help minimize differences in taste.
Switching Formula Guide Friso Gold® 3
You should change your milk formula gradually over a week. The table provides a guide to switching formulas. If your child still has change over issues, speak to your doctor or call the Friso Care Line at 6419 8484.
Why are there air bubbles after I shake the milk in a feeding bottle?
Milk shaken in a feeding bottle always produces bubbles, which disappear eventually. It's best to swirl or lightly shake the bottle horizontally, not vertically. This reduces the production of air bubbles.
Can I use cold water to prepare Friso Gold®?
Although preparation in cold water doesn’t harm the milk formula, it is best to follow the instructions for use, i.e. use boiled water cooled to below 40°C (warm water). If the formula is prepared with cold water, the powder may not dissolve properly.
My child is constipated. Can I dilute the milk?
No, you shouldn’t dilute the milk to ensure that your child gets the maximum nutrients from it. It is better to feed your child extra water in between feeding times.
What is the shelf life of Friso Gold®?
The shelf life of Friso Gold® is 2 years.
